Well it was a struggle, but I managed to do it. that's the bug you're talking about? How does that happen? Do the devs know? Will that score stay? I don't mind playing against scores by people who are clearly better or more dedicated than me (like in the previous challenges), but playing against bug scores takes the fun out of it a bit. The horseborn were mostly preoccupied with trying to get my armor down. There's probably some optimization still in it, but 7425 is a nice score and I somehow got 5 +8 dmg hits on all 5 targets. And I started whacking the horseborn down a bit right away before Rook finally started with the killing mark preys. So my final line up were the archers first, then Ludin, then Rook. It got me a better score, but that first horseborn attack was still annoying.

When I was experimenting with whacking some of the horseborn down a bit, Pianotorious (over on discord) gave me the idea of using Ludin in my group (instead of Varl as distraction for the horseborn). I read your post here afterwards :-) I tried using all archers again after that (like I had before), but always got someone killed. That's what got me above the threshold by a few points. When I saw your above 5225 score, I read up on scoring and tried Mark Prey again, but I was still using Varl with the archers to optimize for turn count after the initial attack. I was on the right way a few times, but got off track by not really knowing how that scoring worked. I used a Varl as 6th hero because it tends to make it easier to manipulate enemy movement and proximity this way, and the horseborns seem to use Mule Kick much more often when no Varl is present)

(Spearmen are preffered because of their extended range, while Nid & Alette can get 8 str damage hits on the javelin throwers if their strenght is set to 10 and Rook uses Mark Prey to drop the javelin horseborn from 5 to 3 armor, triggering the extra point of damage Nid & Alette need through their Puncture. Manipulate enemy movement and be aware of the order of turns to maximise the number of heroes in reach of a common target to repeat the process on Rook's following turns. I used Ludin, Tryggvi, Alette & Nid, and position them and the 6th hero of your choice so that they can all hit one of the javelin throwing horseborn after Rook uses Mark Prey.

It's possible to get 5 hits this way right as the battle starts. You must use Rook's Mark Prey ability in order to get multiple hits of 8+ Strenght damage on each of his turn. Well the leaderboards are all boinked now cause of a bug, so here's the solution to the score knot Now the break is over, get back to battle! So I will ask this if killing everyone the fastest is not providing enough hits with at least 8 points of damage, how can you get more possible hits in the same amount of turns ? Find the answer and you might beat my current leading top score. (For more information about triangle numbers check here, it explains more in detail how the formula described in the game wiki works )Įveryone being equal right now in the top scores is using more or less the same tactic with the same results. We take the triangle number of the number of hits that do at least 8 points of damage and multiply that by 15.

Now for the current challenge, we seem to have reached a stale ground in the high scores, so I will only spread a little scoring information The probability for this to happen can be rounded up to needing to succeed 6 times in a row with about 25% of chances each time. Samum did it in either 7 turns + 1 enemy turn, or in a perfect 6 turns. My score was done in 8 turns + 1 enemy turn.
#ETERNAL ARENA WHERE IS THE TAVERN HOW TO#
The trickiest part of this was finding how to eliminate the raidmaster in one hit. Through the right combination of heroes and talents, it was possible to wipe all enemies in one single row of turns (6). Obviously, the key for high score was to kill enemies without using abilities, and to do it in the least possible amount of turns. Let me begin by giving some information about the previous challenge. Take out your drinking horn and open the mead barrels, it's time to discuss how we spread out the bloodshed.
